Intervolve’s Quality Assurance Engineers are responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure high quality delivery of Java and Mobile based applications. The candidate for this position will have experience using automation scripts not only to perform test validation, but also experience in creating scripts to generate data to validate performance and load scenarios. The QA Engineer will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to validate features and functionalities through both automated and manual quality testing methods in order to maximize the benefit of the business and customer investments.

Major Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and execute test plans and other test documentation for functional, data, and performance validation
- Assist in the development, maintenance and documentation of test automation tasks that add value in a time-constrained environment
- Interact directly with developers to test issue corrections and application enhancements during software development life cycle
- Validate, track and document issues from reporting the issue through resolution and release
- Validate integration with third party hardware and software solutions
- Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts
Preferred Skills:
- Experience testing Java and Mobile based applications
- Experience with SQL, MYSQL, Jira, Tomcat Apache, and Unix/Linux
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide a training/demo session on a tested functionality or specific issue
- Ability to review functional / technical specifications and training documentation to identify appropriate test scenarios for creating test cases
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills for sharing information and resolving problems
- Ability to test effectively in a multi-customer environment with customized requirements and various business rules
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to take initiative and adapt to changing testing requirements
- Solid experience using test automation tools to maintain a return on investment of time and improved quality
- Experience in Supply Chain Management software applications
